Meet Melinda Reece
Ayurvedic Practitioner, Founder of Sattva Wellness & Therapist-in-Training
I’m Melinda Reece, a holistic practitioner and therapist-in-training (MFT track). For over 15 years I’ve supported clients through Ayurveda and therapeutic bodywork, and along the way I kept seeing how the body holds our stories. That led me to deepen in somatic awareness, mindfulness, and counseling so the work could reach both body and heart.
Today I offer integrative, body-oriented care, blending Ayurveda, somatic awareness, mindfulness, and bodywork to help regulate the nervous system, ease stress and anxiety, and feel grounded, connected, and whole. I’m the founder of Sattva Wellness, serving South Lake Tahoe and virtual clients.
I live in Tahoe with my husband and our son. Climbing, lake swims, yoga, cooking simple Ayurvedic meals, and time in nature keep me rooted in what I offer, alignment, nourishment, and presence.

My Approach & Training
My work is integrative, holistic, and body-oriented. I weave Ayurveda (constitution, nourishment, routine), somatic awareness (sensation tracking, grounding, connection), mindfulness, and hands-on bodywork to help release what’s held and reconnect you to inner clarity, and true nature. Together we explore simple daily practices and routines that regulate, restore rhythm, and support how you want to feel. Sessions are collaborative, attuned, and grounded, a compassionate space to return to yourself and integrate shifts into everyday life.
